Mrs. Biagioni has announced her physics students will be competing in the KidWind Challenge (Wind Turbine Competition) on March 21, 2020.  The competition on March 21st is at CCRI's Knight Campus from 9am - 3pm and open to the public. She will be bringing 31 students, 8 teams total, to this event!  Students are working diligently on their turbine designs, engineering notebooks, and presentations in anticipation of this competition.  They have been applying physics concepts to their designs to harness the most power possible.  These topics include wind energy theory and Betz Limit, electromagnetism theory and generator design, torque, angular velocity, and gear ratios, to name a few. Go EWG Knights!
